Recorded and written 1962/1963 by Paul Simon under the pseudonym Paul Kane . Released as a 45 with He Was My Brother. As far as I am aware the only recording by Paul of this song thoughi believe Irish Singer Val Doonican also recorded it.

  • awww i love hearing his voice when he was so young.

  • @PaulSimonIsCUTE Yes I agree . there are some great songs he recorded in his early 20's out there!

  • Beautiful Paul, amazing, Tony knows this song??? How could he? He said he

heard it a lot, did someone make it a hit or something> I always say he knows

    more than I do.

  • @JettRink50 glad you like it. I Believe Irish Singer Val Doonican recorded this in The UK. Maybe this is the version Tony has heard.

  • Tish Hinojosa sang a spellbinding cover of this on her album Aquella Noche.

  • Paul Simon is such an artist!! I love it!!

  • Paul Simon is such an artist!! I love it!!

  • This is definitely a missed classic. If Simon and Garfunkel had re-recorded this song I bet it would have been a hit.

  • Someone can tell me the story behind this song?

It's hard to believe but i am mexican and my name is Carlos Domínguez.

Kind of freaky, kind of weird but it is!

I was like: Oh my god! he is singing to me!

Really dudes, Carlos Domínguez is my name, can you believe it?

  • Tish Hinojosa did a beautiful cover of this on her album Aquella Noche. Try and hear it!

  • It's amazing to me when you consider all of the 45's he made under various

names that none of those songs became hits. Of course you have to get your

music on the radio. I'm collecting all I can find because these are treasures, I am

thinking many of these 45's were made after "Hey Schoolgirl."

  • @brenda19ish definatley, like when he was "jerry". its really nice to see how he progressed in his career. i was literally just listening to him when he was in his 30's. then i found this and heard his young voice and was like woah! thanks for uploading this
