Then your friend has some good skills, I got my Bladestar, and it's pretty hard to control.

An interesting version would be one that-in lue of the propellers at the ends of the stocks-can blow air through tubes of roughly the same size & routing. They can act as tip-jets to to use thrust in unison w/ torque from a little cenralised centrifugal blower located in the hubb. The rotor tips may by potetially be the ideal placement, though that might compramize the blades. That's why I made the original suggestion of placement.
