@mickeynorson The derringers are very loud. Louder than a rifle in the same caliber by far. Anything with a short barrel is very very loud. I have this same gun but chambered in .22 magnum and it's louder than my 12 gage shotgun.

dud...i have the same thing but mine is a 22 magnum, (powerful as a 38 spec) you should check the barrel again and make sure it says dm22

These guns are inexpensive so if you are going to carry them You can easily find a big bore derringer under $200 on gunbroker or somewhere else
