Ribe Jazz Festival 10th anniversary end of 2011 square near the Hotel Dagmar Sunday, July 31 pm. 14 to 16, we gotta finish again-sigh!
- And the square in front of the Hotel Dagmar now 10yo formed through the amazing and beautiful setting for this traditional event, which in 2002 was started by the violinist Finn Ziegler, a young (eller. .. younger!) Jakob Fischer at his side.

There have been legendary, magical and memorable moments in jazz signs on the square in front of the hotel, and Ribe Jazz Festival has had a fabulous collaboration with Hotel Dagmar around the concerts.
In festivalkomiteén we hope that it may remain so in the future!

Now, Jacob Fischer permanently taken over the baton from Finn Ziegler, and he comes this year with a brand new project which pays tribute to Django Reinhardt!

Jacob Fischer plays Django Reinhardt

At year-end concert will square in front of hotel Dagmar resound with evocative, virtuosic and swinging gypsy jazz. The guitarist Jacob Fischer has this year teamed up with three great swing musicians for an afternoon, celebrating the legendary gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt, who would have turned 100 years in 2010.

Experience the vibrant Australian clarinetist and vocalist Chris Tanner and the two guitarvirtuoser Jacob Fischer and Regin Fuhlendorf, elegantly supported by Kasper Tagel on bass, in a repertoire that course featuring songs by Django Reinhardt, but also new tracks, Jacob Fischer has written in the Django style, from his latest CD recording, where he and the Sicilian accordion virtuoso Francesco Calì shelves Django.

The stage is set for jazz with mediterranean ambience played by four musicians who see no reason to hide that they love to play music.
