Our backyard pond was started about 10 years ago. Most of the fish are the original inhabitants. It has been through many changes and additions.Theres 1 koi (bubba, or whitey as we call him) hes about 5lbs, 2 channel catfish- 1 albino (gary) and one regular (big black) theyre both about 20'' long, and about 20 assorted goldfish. There are many plants and most of them are native from local lakes. The pump is a 1000gph with a pre filter box and the canister is a bioforce w/13watt uv. The shallow end is about 20'' deep and the deep side is about 4'. There is a fountain pump feeding a side 75gal preform pond tub which is used as a biofilter and bog. Water is pumped in and then it drains back into the pond through a drain tube that way it will never empty or overflow. Yes all of the fish winter over in the pond. If you have questions...ask. Enjoy!
