There are albums that, when you first hear them, you want to call up your best friends and play them your favorite parts - and at the same time you want to keep the songs all to yourself. "Coming Home At Last" is one of these. Some artists have the ability to evoke memories of the great and small moments of one's own life in a song. Christina Lux writes and sings these kinds of songs. When people hear them they find their own world also opening as well. An acclaimed back-up singer for many stars, her masterfully composed songs are sung with a pure voice that intermingles the warmth of Norah Jones with the depth of Tori Amos; the result is soulful, authentic and engaging. Lux's songs never try to be larger than life - that makes them so familiar and at the same time so unique.

Christina Lux—singer, songwriter, and guitarist—is renowned for her ability to create songs of beauty, courage, and profound honesty. They are both universal and personal, unique and yet familiar. Rich tapestries of the hurts and joys of life flow from her which never fail to touch the heart of the listener. She is able to write songs that leave one with the feeling of being able to understand how everything fits together.

Christina Lux began her career in the mid-1980s as one of Germany's most wanted backup singers. She has toured with the Jule Neigel Band and Fury and provided backing vocals on television appearances with such notable artists as Grace Jones, Oleta Adams, Gabrielle, and Nina Hagen. Christina has also recorded with Mick Karn of the band Japan, Deep Purple's Jon Lord, and the electronic music artists RMB.

She began her solo career with the 1998 release, She is Me, followed by Little Luxuries in 1999. Since then she has been been touring, having performed countless club concerts. Some of these were as a soloist and others as a member of her own trio—including bass-player Marius Goldhammer and percussionist Roland Peil. In 1999 she opened shows for Paul Young.

Christina Lux says that her latest album, Coming Home At Last, is her milestone—something special, a piece of heaven, and a suitcase to travel onwards with. She produced the album together with Matthias Krauss and worked again with Klaus Genuit, her long-time sound engineer. Fellow musicians include Marius Goldhammer (bass), Tommy Baldu (drums), Heiko Braun (percussion), Matthias Krauss (keyboard, guitar) and special guest Joo Kraus (trumpet). Together they have created the kind of album Christina Lux loves: a snapshot full of life and intensity. (less)
