The Welsh Guards are parading through a number of Welsh towns and cities to thank the people of Wales for their support during the battalion's tours of duty worldwide and the conflicts that they are involved with.
On 12th March 2010 it was Newport's turn for the parade and the people of Newport turned out in their thousands to give their support and thanks to the men of the Guards.
Newport citizens certainly showed to the world how to give the Guards a proper Welsh welcome.
Wonderous response bet the boys felt proud...and so they should.
