  • I personally think Nixon was a good president. He just got caught up in a bunch of crap. He will always have my respect. Of course however, I respect any person that has been elected as president of this great nation. I may not like them, but I will respect them.

  • I know this comment will probably get a poor rating or two but today is Nixon's birthday! The date is January 9, 2010 and he is turning 97 years old, despite being currently deceased.

  • @ChildofGod318 - When Obama is deserving of the title "President" I'll consider it. He's don't nothing to deserve it. Electing him didn't make him President. It put him in the office.

And did you say the same thing when libtards said "Bush" and said "He's not my President"? I bet you didn't.

  • @NineInchLongSchlong - One ninth of an inch, perhaps. The man has more integrity in his right thumb than you and your commie ilk have in your bodies combined.

    Good day.

  • PHUCK NIXON

  • @ha757224 You could always call him "Sir."

  • @JAMESJETTIII I agree with you. I wouldn't have voted for President Obama, and don't necessarily like him, but I still respect him. So many don't even give him the courtesy of addressing him as President Obama, but just Obama.

People aren't prefect, that's why we have the checks and balances in government, impeachment being one of the most severe. It takes a lot to be a good president. I think people forget that

  • @JAMESJETTIII LBJ ALL THE WAY!

  • compared to what we have in office now, this man is a paragon of justia et pax and plain good common sense.

At least Mr. Nixon did the right things, at the right times, for the right reasons, within substantial arenas of his Presidency.

Mr. Obama does none of these. It is like sand in my mouth to address Mr. Obama as "Mr. President."

  • All the bullshit going on at this time, I find absolutely fascinating. Like, I wish soooo badly I'd lived during this. Whenever I watch Forrest Gump, I get jealous.

  • Judge Sirica was fining Nixon $25,000 per day to release the tapes. Once they were released, Nixon's Presidency was untenable. Nixon's secret recordings revealed more than obstruction of justice, but patent paranoia, vindictive agendas, and total distrust of just about everyone. Contrast this with his skills in foreign policy, and we have a very complicated man.

  • While this speech was happening on live television, my parents' next door neighbor was having his boat stolen right from his driveway! We joked with him and said, "NIXON DID IT!" Then we would all say, "I'm not a crook!" Whoever stole this boat knew we'd all be riveted to our TV's at that time! The police eventually found and returned his boat, but it was damaged.
