how do you unify sound level in an entire recording that may last half an hour? even thou i speak uniformly, i find the recording varies greatly for no apparent reason, certain sections are extremely low while others are extremely high. having to adjust every chunk is extremly tidious. is there a way to unify the entire stretch with one click of a mouse button?

@jaxterdeadly1 i dont know if you can do this on audacity but on goldwave you copy section with this 'robot noise' and use it on clipboard in noise reduction, play with percentage on first and second removals for best result

@LeadersOfTheMislead Yes, yes you can. That was one of the first things I messed with when I first downloaded it. You just highlight the area where you want the pitch to change & go to "Effects" & "Change Pitch". It goes by Fs & A's & A#s & all that jazz so it really helps if you're familiar with music theory. Or just mess around with it until you get what you want. :) I know it's been a month since you've asked this & probably found your answer, but, if not, there you go. :D Lol ♥
