Replace LCD on a Pioneer DEH-P3800MP Car Stereo Faceplate.

Broke my LCD display for a Pioneer Car Stereo DEH-P3800MP faceplate.
I ordered the parts, and replacing them was easy.

LCD - Part #44 is YAW5079
Rubber connector: Part #50 is YNV5033

My girlfriends receiver broke, just like the one you are fixing. She accidentally hit it and the receiver stopped working. I am not sure if it is the LCD screen that is broken or other components. There is no sound which leads me to believe it more than the screen. Do you know what could be wrong with it? I've taken it apart, but I dont know much about electronics.

there isn't any way for me to know that. could be a hundred things - crack in the board or any other small components, connectors... the list goes on. Possibly if there's no sound (is there any power?) then probably outputs, could be the main MOSFET amp or any processors leading up to it. Probably have to replace it if you can't seen physical damage that you can fix. Good luck.

how much did the lcd cost and where did you buy it from, pioneer parts?

@lineartechbd1600 IIRC, the LCD was about $20. and yes, I got it from Pioneer. I've posted Pioneer's contact information under the Info for this video.

can i put a deh-p3900mp on a deh-p3800mp faceplate since the 3900 has the AUX and my 3800 does not. will it work?

@fenix0green: I have no idea, but I have my doubts. Most of the time, you can't swap face plates even if it's the same model, otherwise it wouldn't be a security feature.

Suren: I also have the faceplate LCD display of my DEH-P6800MP broken and I am unable to find from were to get/order it. I am looking at you video info and unable to see any address contact info. Could you please refer me the right direction?
