where did you see them hatch and were do u find them

The mature female turtles crawl from the water up the beach to the sand dunes and did a hole a couple feet deep where they lay 80-120 eggs. The eggs hatch 55-65 days later usually at night. You just have to be in the right place at the right time to see them. These nests are laid mostly in June and July along the southeast coast of the us and throughout the Caribbean area.

It would be great if they just left the turtles to find their way by their self with no involvement from human.

Yes it would be great. Unfortunately, these nests are located very close to residential areas and the risk of their being attracted to dry land by street lights, porch lights, window light, etc. is too great. State regulations that govern how humans may interact with the turtles are followed strictly. We are just doing our best to try to ensure their survival.
