@bigdogmark45 Fortunately, there seems to exist a negative relationship between economic prosperity and fertility- that is, as an economy grows and prospers, fewer women have kids and other women choose to have fewer kids, party because they want to focus on their careers and partly because (depending on the part of the world) more children means more working hands. So part of the long-term solution is economic development in underdeveloped nations.
The question then becomes "How?"

@xRisexFromxThexAshes Actually, the images ARE close to the lyrics. The song was inspired by those "Save the children!" ads, and the song is about if you're willing to sit idle while people are in need of your help, so they the images actually do reflect that.

the world population recently hit the 7 billion mark. there was speculation that the world would not be able to handle 5 billion. what happens when an ecosystem reaches and exceeds its carrying capacity?..we'll soon find out. a decade ago we had 6 billion people in the world. a decade. it only took 10 years to gain a billion people. that will double by the time this generation becomes grandparents. something needs to be done. fast. or what is happening in Africa will be a global epidemic...

Actually, according to the band....the song was written while watching a "save the children" fund drive.....so it actually does convey the same message. Nice thing about Chevelle's music though.....each person can interpret it differently.

@xRisexFromxThexAshes You've done good work here, I appreciate it; it helps me go within and clearly picture the angels gathering in battle formations, calmly preparing to come and set this place strait. May the Authorities Above be with you, and may you rise from the ashes indeed.

@TysonReel I too. and I too. words at there best. Peolpe. Popping sound is head popping out of your ass. Stop trolling. if you don't like the vid. stop watching. Don't go to Mcdonalds and say aloud you don't like Mcdonalds. THAT"S STUPID. and it's the same thing. I agree with this guy. NO WRONG WAY.
For those who see this video and make fun or leave little heartless bitch comments, know that there will come a time when you will stand amungst the souls depicted here and they will be wearings robes of light and you will be blinded by their presence. In that moment you will realize the folly of your ways, but for most of you it will be too late. I appreciate Chevelle blairing the sirens with their music, this world is out of control and everyone needs to start paying attention.

With all due respect, the images and message conveyed by them have nothing to do with the lyrical content of the song.

the images are a -representation- of a single group that are in unfortunate circumstances that need help. I could have picked a million different groups, groups in America even. Africa is just widely seen and known. So yes. It has everything to do with the song, escpecially if you look up the meaning and the singer says he got inspiration from an African aid commericial. You just haven't look at it that way.
