  • A beautiful Bird :)

  • Nice video, I liked it a lot.

This is TriStar ZE706, the sole C2A transport in the entire fleet. It began as a Pan Am regular L-1011 airliner but was purchased by the RAF and modified by Marshall Aerospace back in 1984. It will serve with 216 Sqn at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire 'till is replaced by the brand-new MRTT Voyager.

  • Is there any way one could get a ride or at least some kind of tour of the RAF L-1011s and VC-10s? .. Its a far off and probably a daft question .. but i figure its the only way to get up close to one of them bad boys aside from going to a museum haha, any info would be largely appreciated, thank you.

  • @faostube oops wrong video

  • Now that, takes tremendous skill. These guys hand flew it in like it was a cessna!

  • Very nice, like it.

  • Very nice clip... watched it twice!

  • odd how no airline in the world uses these birds, but the RAF still do...

  • I love the old three-holers. The sound, the design it´s just awesome !!

  • beautiful
