More grey skies as GWR Castle Class 4-6-0 no 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe, is first seen at Drayton Green (Ealing/Hanwell) emerging from the tunnel that now covers the line from Castle Bar Park to here. This is the positioning move after the morning's up run to Paddington. 47 500 being on tagged on the back at Paddington purely for the London area movements.
After the departure of the Greenford to Paddington service, we move on to Hanwell for the Down Cathedrals Express (of GWR, Not Steam Dreams, fame), tearing through on it's way back to Tyseley Warwick Road.

  • Superb video. I really liked the shot of the Earl powering through Hanwell. A like from me. I filmed the Earl on the Up-London run at West Drayton. Please have a look and comment. A like from me. Barry
