Ba-Rock Out With Obama!
Atlanta, Ga. (Fall 2008). The time for change is now! In 2004 the nation chanted "Vote or Die!" in 2008 we are yelling, "Do Your Part" with Barack Obama leading the way to a brighter future for all Americans. As we enter the last leg of the most historic election in American history each and every one of us must do our part to ensure his spot in the White House. So we see adults, dignitaries, and politicians doing their part to get Obama where he needs to be; but what about the youth? How can they help?
The answer is simple and inspiring: join the mission of the "Ba-Rock Music Campaign!" The Ba-Rock Music campaign is an innovative voter registration drive that is designed to motivate and educate people that historically are not informed about the voting process, through various talents of recording artists, poets, dancers, DJs, producers, choreographers, engineers and other themes of hip hop culture.
This message is definitely captured in the Title Song of the Campaign, "I wanna be President." The song involves youth graduates from various non-profit programs in Atlanta ,"Wholistic Stress Control" (wholistic1.com), elementary students and established unsigned talent of the A-legal Hustler Movement. The song will literally send chills down your spine. "I wanna be President," is currently in rotation on Atlanta's largest station, v-103. "We fully support the Ba-Rock Music Campaign and it has the potential to register hundreds if not thousands of voters," says Regional Field Director for the Barack Obama Campaign, Jacob Klein.
Remember this is the opportunity of a lifetime! Each and every one of us has the power to help make our country a better place for all its citizens, and a shining example to the world. We ALL have to do our part to make Obama's dream--our dream--a reality! This is so inspiring. I've worked with many youth over the years who told me they wanted to be drug dealers because they didn't see another way. A change has come. God Bless President Obama and the much needed movement he has ignited for ALL Americans!
