Getting the itch. I had not heard good copy on AM since I was a kid, sitting in my neighbors shack...years ago. Just picked up a TR4C, and will have it airborne shortly. Really looking forward to working AM from Denver. Love those old Hammerlunds. Nice rig. 73deKF6AAR

Wonderfull stuff, magic audio ! My grandfaster used to AM from 1929 on untill the late 80's on his home brew 2x807 in push-pull burning 150W. His Call was ON4NA. I miss him & the great shack-time i shared with him.

Gotta love the SP-600. I have a JX-17, sounds great! This video almost fills my need for an "AM fix!"
fantastic stuff ..it would be interesting to know which antennas and range of power was in use?
I love using am on ten metres and I cant for the life of me understand why AM is not more widely used on the amatuer bands after all its a lot easier to build am transceivers and there is suitable space on certain bands for am coms..hope to hear you all sometime propagation permiting of course hi kind regards 73 Adrian 2E0TEN (uk)

Adrian the stations were all over the place for gear, power, and aerials. This recording was made best by late afternoon / evening conditions and being "down low" on the band where there was less congestion.
