  • Great review. Can you tell us if you got some scratch (on the bottom of the D90) due to the metal clip? Thanks

  • @RicardoATBarbosa I've not gotten any scratches on mine yet, but then again I'm not a power-user. I only use the camera to snap photos of the rug-rat and the occasional shots for the blog or for ebay.

  • Another Nikon disciple! NICE! I have a Nikon D50 (older, but it was my first DSLR) and I still love it. I'd love to hear your views on the D90 in a few mos when you have some time using it. I'd also like to know your impressions of the video. I've done lots of research on that camera, but I like hearing users impressions anytime.

As far as the strap sling, that's interesting. I usually NEVER use the included strap unless I'm positioning myself for a shot or moving the tripod or something.

  • @CyberCacique1 I picked the D90 on a recomendation from Cindy the other person in our Tacticalgearhead team. So far I love it for stills. For vids, it does quite well for little 5 minute segments, which is more than enough for what I need. I won't go into it much as there are others who are much more qualified than I am to review the cam. It is a nice entry level dslr camera that delivers good results even to incompetent photographers like myself.

  • Nice sling. BUT I would never carry my D300 like that. Im just used to carrying it around my neck. Plus on top of it is a 800 flash and a gary fong haha. Sure it works for smaller apps. Thanks for sharing

  • @Goindeff One thing I forgot to mention is that you can also use the strap in a more conventional method by wearing it around your neck and having the cam dangle at your stomach.

  • Great Review. It was so helpful. I think you should do your next video in a James Cagny Capogne type of voice and make sure you use the word Copper and or you'll never take me alive see!!! That would be cats meow

  • @Tacticalgearhead Thank you, I asked that because I read some reviews telling about this problem, and as I have a D90 too, I was a little worried. Good shots.

  • Andreas - It is a good day for us when you post three videos! Excellent. I think we are kindred gear spirits . . . Apple iPhone and Nikon DSLR. Great tip and review. Thanks!

  • if i had a thousand dollar camera i'd put it behind glass and stare at it. lol

  • @CyberCacique The strap would be great when used outdoors at points where I dont need the flash. And the pocket it great but I dont think it will hold my 72mm lens cover haha

  • @Goindeff Great point on the flash. I have 600flash (w/a Sto-Fen OM600 Omni-Bounce Diffuser) and that would makes it more challenging to utilize a sling like what Andreas has reviewed although I think the product is interesting and unique. I do like the small zippered pocket on the upper portion of the strap.
