I don't have that problem. Any neighbor's kid's ball that comes into my yard gets instantly popped when my German shepherd/mastiff mix gets it in her mouth. It's disgusting to see a little old lady get treated like that, but if some kid's ball comes into your yard there's not much you can do except just give it back or file a police complaint if it causes some kind of actual damage.
