  • one question.. is there a fixed rule like 1st piano has to be left and 2nd piano to the right on stage? as if i look in other video of martha and freire playing la valse, they're on the opposite site. or they're actually depending on the piano's voice?

  • @partitasa89 As far as I know, martha always played 1st in la valse at the left side on stage. She seems to fix her part depending on pieces, choosing 2nd in Lutosławski or Suite No.1, but 1st in Suite No.2 by Rachmaninoff.

  • @honekawasujiemon Martha knows both parts of the La Valse. Partitisa89 is right in that a video made in their (i.e.. Martha and Freire) youth has Martha playing the identical Primo part but sitting on the other side of the stage, but I think she plays the opposite part in the video with Sergei Tiempo.

  • @pianofan24 Thank you for comment. You are right in their DVD video (Martha and Freire). I check the video with Tiempo. It seems to me that she played the same part of this video (Primo?).

  • @partitasa89 @partitasa89 Yes, you are right in their DVD performance. She played 1st piano on the opposite side. Thank you for comment.

  • what a fantastic colour is evoked.

  • Bravissimo!Parallel to their extraordinary technique and musical compatibility , especially in this performance they also show impressive deepness , color and flowed beauty.Thank you for this great upload!

  • ...such an Afro-A., black piece, should be played by these two in the current White House, in front President Obama, and his family, the two girls, especially...these pianists here should have sounded more scared playing this, would have helped the interpretation, but who am I to be telling Martha to be shitting bricks?...

  • Martha and Nelson, I do believe, totally OWN this work!

  • where is this concert hall? it seems like the Auditorio nacional de madrid in spain

  • Can anybody else hear the ghost orchestra behind them?????

  • FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!!!!!!! satanas is in their hands!!!

  • @th3wing3dpaint3r It is written in the score. The first part strikes the low A and neighbouring B-flat and the second part strikes only the low B-flat. Hope it helps!

  • Are they battling each other?
