@ErgoPictures honestly don't pass judgement on a pc till you've used one that wasn't a piece of shit.
I would never own a mac, the company is very closed in (meaning no upgrades) and overcharges for their hardware.
The system I built I add an upgrade to every 2 years or so, and it is running well, with a mac I could upgrade a bit, but after a while I would just need a whole new system.

I know this is an old video, but even in 2007, Windows was just as good for video than a Mac. There's no difference. Don't send the masses out to buy a Mac when they don't have to. On Windows, you want Sony Vegas. They have consumer versions for less than 100 bucks.

Using Quicktime to export your file is absolutely the wrong way to do anything. Thats like going over the stream to get water. using Quicktime will just make your encoding go reeeaaal slow and your files go bigger. So you have basically shot yourself in the foot.
Youtube encodes user files as MPEG-4 in the H.264 codec at 30 fps and streams video in flash. Using Quicktime you wrap the MPEG-4 format in a MOV container which take time and space. So export just in MPEG-4 at 30 fps and you be good.

I'd get a mac to make videos, if I wasn't so keen on also playing computer games, is there a program you can suggest like final cut for windows? or can you get the actual final cut express for windows?

for video editing, its top notch. i used to edit on windows, and for gods sake, ditch WMM. if you can use Adobe Premier. Sony Vegas is okay as well. but honestly, dont pass judgment on the mac until youve used one

I use soney vegas pro 8.0 and they look better than these at 60mb...... Don't bealeve me check em out. This video is pointless in my opinion.
