I am no great fan of Paganini's mere exercises in technical proficiency - a tocatta-komponist. So I wouldn't be willing to judge Urioste entirely on this piece - the fragment from the Elgar here is pretty good. Here she doesn't hit all the right notes at the start, and the low register sttacattos around 1:30 come out flat instead of distinctly loud. The good, full bodied sound is there thought, so I am not giving up hope. I would rather listen to her than Hahn or Fischer.
I can't believe she was at Curtis. She's good, but . . . must've been a really good audition, anyway.

I like it a lot! excellent articulation. I like the way she makes the melody line to stand out.
