Drumcree Church is the parish church of Drumcree,
a rural Church of Ireland parish to the north of
Portadown in County Armagh, Northern Ireland.

In recent times it has become noted for the
Orange Order service held annually on the Sunday
before 12 July. The service, or more precisely
the Orangemen's parade both to and from the
service and the reaction of the community on
Garvaghy Road, has been the catalyst for
sectarian unrest between the Protestant paraders
and the Catholic residents of the area.

This version of the Fields of Athenry tells
how the Orange scum WILL NEVER MARCH DOWN
GARVAGHY ROAD EVER !!!!


On a lonely Drumcree hill
Ten thousand Orangemen are waiting.

MY family are from garvaghy road. it was once a protestant area things have changed.I don,t think the orange order should get hung up about walking down that road i think the point has been taking on board and never again will they try to ban any orange marches. i personally think they should take the moral high ground and end the march at the bridge with there heads held high. at the end of the dat in 20 years or or in another generation those in sinn fein aligned to the ira will be gone 4ever
