america has been charging around 15 cents per text for a long time. you have to buy a texting bundle.

This is such bullshit. Canadian text instead of making calls because outgoing calls are so damn expensive. Most people can only afford to be on evenings and weekend plans, so during the day they have to text. May be it the damn cell companies would offer us better plans texting would not be our only option.
This is one of the few reasons I hate living in Canada. Getting fleeced by these retailers and service providers.
