REMAKES well...One of my thoughts is that remakes may need to bee done because they are not in english. I shopped around for quite a few films. DAS MESSER IM KOPF by rainer hauff was one i was dying to make. FREAKS the B&W 1939 film. The other way i can see there is a play on play. Almost as music is interpreted. Same story done by different directors.

Remakes are never as good as the original. Why would you? Rutger was the "human" element in the original, and that is why it is so ironic because he wasn't "human".
