Our daughter died, as a passenger, in a car crash with a tractor trailer, on February 13, 2006. Being born and raised in Hawaii, our family knew that her ashes should be placed in an area where she loved to go to alot...that place was Waimea Bay. Since she was a little girl, until she died at the age of 18-years old, Waimea Bay was one of her favorite places. In early June, of 2006, we came home to Hawaii, from Central Florida, and spread her ashes at Waimea Bay. It took place early in the morning, when no one was around, and the Bay was very calm. Only a small group of immediate family members attended. A beautiful calm came over all of us immediately after the spreading of her ashes. Mahalo & Aloha, to all of the Friends & Family members, who have been caring so much about Alexis, and the rest of the family!
This dedication to your loved one was absolutely beautiful. I say a little prayer for you and your o'hana tonight. 'O ke AKUA pu me oukou...aloha no from San Diego, CA
