Description of the Battle of the Coral Sea by eyewitness, Bill Leu. Bill's ship, the American tanker U.S.S. Neosho, along with its escort, the destroyer U.S.S. Sims, were attacked by Japanese dive bombers. After the attack, the Neosho floated for several days and the surviving crew were finally rescued by a U.S. destroyer. My father, also a WWII Navy veteran, sits beside his older brother. This was filmed in November 2002 and sadly, my uncle Bill passed away a few months later. For more information about the U.S.S. Neosho, please visit my website at www.DelsJourney.com.
