Extreme video of the 15 foot storm surge from Hurricane Ike on Galveston Island, TX. Ike made landfall as a strong category 2/weak category 3 hurricane at 2:20 am CDT at Galveston Island. The TornadoVideos.net storm chasers documented the entire hurricane from the sea wall on the east side of Galveston Island. This is part 2 of a 3 part video series.

  • I am a storm chaser....and i would not recommend doing what these guys did unless you really know what your doing and your willing to put your life on the line for science.......this is extremly dangerous work and we do lose people to these storms every year.

  • iluvbig12 are you serious? i live in houston and im pretty sure the eye went to galveston then to beumont and houston was in the eye wall straight down. i dont know what planet you were on but i dont think u ever got rain from ike. its not something to be proud of saying u were in a hurricane. people lost lives and homes. think before you comment

  • @Tuckypoo111 Yea I live in Sugar Land and the wind was crazy!! There was TONS of trees in my neigborhood that were snapped and there was one HUGE tree that had been uprooted fully!! Fences were knocked down and there was debre everywhere. We had boarded up our house and you are totally right... the whistle of thw wind was freaky!!
