My knowledge for music comes through my passion and devotion, and of course talent. I rarely read music theory, but instead I listen to the great classical masters, and thats where you will find most knowledge. Books can only teach you so much, listening, feeling and playing is your greatest source of musical knowledge!

@KarlNerman yeah i understand somehow i can play like that, but i have a problem with keeping my left hand running.

@wtficantgetausername Well I more feel the next chord than think...I very rarely actively think when I play. I create a mood, and let my feelings control my hands.

But one advice as for theory is that you learn diminished 7th chords, as they give a surreal and immense feel to the music. Also there is a lot of great music within harmonic descending half notes, it tends to give a "heavy" feeling. But most importantly:explore your own personal harmonies and melodies, and dont follow any "rules".

@KarlNerman Well yes, I do understand that since I gave up my reading as well..but to play something with progressive chords, understanding it by feel, would take a lot of experience..so music theory would be a faster way to learn..

So you don't even think about your next chord? You just let your hands run?

Great improvisation. I hear Liszt, Beethoven and Mozart in this mixed with romantic themes. Very funny the part that starts up at about 2:00, which I actually think in part is very 'You' but in a more jokeful way.

I also notice that you are indeed 'in takt' with your music so it doesnt just come out but rather it is there and you are there to form it as it is flowing (referring to clarity of melody).
