  • HOLY COW! Oh, I wish he didn't edit himself, and let himself unload on HBO for pulling the Deadwood rug out from under him. This was obviously taped right before last year's Super Bowl, almost two YEARS after Deadwood shut down, and he's STILL ready to explode when he tries to talk about it.

What I wouldn't give to spend a day hanging out with this guy--but man, it's hard work to keep up with him.

  • Who gives a fuck why the students are there? First of all, it can all be seen as vital to a really complex means of assessing ones self and writing. I think he speaks incredibly clearly.

These students suck if they didn't appreciate this.

  • This is awesome. Stick a nodding head in his lap and you've got Al Swearengen.

  • @spamforbobby he's still doing work for them so it's semi-clear why he didn't unload. he's not stupid

  • "John From Cincinnati" was a mind-bender. I started watching it simply to see Imperial Beach, but forgot all about that as soon as I got drawn in to/by all the metaphysical hoo-haa; GENIUS!!

  • God I love Milch but when he talks out loud he spews epic amounts of bullshit.

  • I agree, it would be interesting to sit and talk with him, but he reminds me of other academically minded folk I know - why use one word/sentence to explain what you mean when you can use 400! Many of the concepts he discusses aren't complex but he overcomplicates them by overthinking them and failing (I think) to clearly relate them to the practical act of writing for television - which is why I assume many of the students are there - but I'm not being mean - Milch is still a genius!
