In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 1983 Buick Riviera Convertible. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

  • That 5L V8 being the Oldsmobile 307, you can tell from the oil filler location. 305s have it on the rocker cover.

  • @1974Alfa5Spd Yep you are right about that!

  • do a vw golf

  • @agent3999 I have a 08 gti coming

  • @geckoman1220 I think that the mid 70's to 90's was the best era for the american car design-wise. But like you said, it's all oppinions.

  • Blue Oyster Cult goes well with this car :)

  • God, I'm all for old Detroit iron, but this thing is plain ugly, the hood is extremely long...

  • its not headlights, its twilight sentinal :)

  • what cars haven't you done?

  • my dad had an 85 in the 90s, but his wasn't a convertible.

  • yep, that's a Old's engine. The Buick 5.7 had a external oil pump.

  • @shuffleman321 pretty much, 55mph was the speed limit in most of the us. at the time

  • @Ryoku75 mmhmm definitely

  • @GordanMFreeman Well to be fair it looked a little better, but not notably better. I always like saying how old VWs, as simple as they were, always had one feature that even the most sophisticated modern cars don't, full-size spare wheels.

  • @Ryoku75 ouch, thats an insult.

  • @GordanMFreeman Thats true, if I want fuel efficiency I'll buy a compact. I do think that modern luxury interiors are not up to par either, I sat in a Mercedes and it was hardly any different than a Ford Taurus from a few years back.
