Instead of doing a "questions" video I see people do on YouTube, or a regular boring "autobiographical" video, I wanted to share how I developed my ear for music over the years, from the very first song I remember hearing, to the last concert I went to. This is the third video in the series.

  • I really like how you drew the comparison between the different decades, with Sgt. Pepper's, DSotM, Thriller, and OK Computer. Now that we're well into 2010, do you think there were any albums released in the 2000s that goes up to that same level? A defining album of the 2000s, per se?

  • @Underload6 haven't decided yet, we are still fresh out of the aughts. I have some candidates though. Arcade Fire - Funeral. Flaming Lips - Yoshimi. The Shins - Shoots too narrow. Gnarles Barkley - St Elswhere. Interpol - Antics... so many more to choose from

  • @Underload6 oooh, and there's Radiohead - Kid A. Outckast - Stankonia. Jay-Z - The Blueprint/Black album. The Strokes - Room on Fire. Beck - Sea Change. The White Stripes - Elephant. Spoon - Kill the Moonlight. Broken Social Scene - You forgot it in people. ack... so many! how can I choose one?!

  • If you like dj shadow and that type of really artistic samples music, then you should try listening to The Avalanches. great vids btw, a shame you stopped making them :P

  • yeah, I like the avalanches as well... and I was thinking of restarting this series... I just stopped because I thought not enough people were interested.

  • so i was looking to see if Bjork put out any autobiographies on google.. when i stumbled upon your musical autobiography. you have great music taste and some of these artists i really never considered listening to or heard of until watching these videos. you kind of inspire me to want to make my own, and if i did i'd totally credit you for inspiration and a great idea. please don't stop making these, they are really interesting!

  • wow... thanks!!! I really hope you do make your own musical autobiography! I'll try to finish another soon.

  • When are you going to talk about Spinal Tap's contribution to the purity and perfection of rock?

  • And she writes in English.....incredible

  • I hope you do, because I want you to talk about some newer music. There probably be allot more of that that I can relate to, but also to know know what sort of stuff your into at the moment ;)

  • This one really brings me back to college days at the cuse...oh nostalgia! I wish Bjork's music still gave me chills like it did back then.

  • I love your show I am in the process of getting my own computer to record my own music. when I am done I think I will put it on u tube.
