Here's the first full demo for miniSynth 1.0, the first synthesizer available in the iTunes app store. miniSynth is a vintage-modeling keyboard synth for the iPhone platform, featuring dual oscillators, adjustable retro-style sound filter, attack/decay, glide, built in recording, and a tape-delay influenced delay unit. Check out http://www.yonac.com for more info.

  • @Presentboy indeed

  • I bought this first to teach myself how to play with a simpler set of controls. Nest up will be Megasynth. If I find I'm doing good things, I may finally justify an iPad.

  • Thats like saying. How dare they create a cure for cancer. its not fair how the people of 2030 get to cure cancer in a click while people back then died a horrible death from it.

  • @Theeultrasuper totally agree :)

  • cool

  • I got this the other day for my "iPod Touch". It's a pretty decent app IMO. Sure.., the filters aren't the greatest.., but in the end this is one hell of a bargain. After playing on this thing.., I have to say the MicroKorg's little iddy bitty keys don't seem so bad anymore :)

  • i didn't start any arguments.

  • i said i would take it at face value, and i did.

the filter is the single most important part for a nice sounding synth? how it all is it supposed to be unimportant information?

  • yeah well i'll come under some hate here but i'm taking this synth at face value as a synth.

as a synth it is technically rather unimpressive, mostly because of the filter, the filter is absolutely horrible, i don't expect iphone synth's to have amazing filters, but noise io's is impressive for the iphone, and the ds-10's filters sound even nicer and they're running off a 71 mhz arm processor

  • You can also record a piece and play it back while you play along.. it's very cool... in those days we called it SPACE MUSIC.. such as those pieces made by Klaus Schulze.. I like it.. I have it on my iphone.. it rocks!! But why Looptastic won't work on my G3 running 3.0 firmware? anyone knows? thanks!!!
