  • Lee Morgan is amazing!

  • crazy story behind this album I read that lee morgan before he was suppose too be at the studio too record this album overdosed on a large quanitity of herion, collapased in his hotel room, before hitting the ground struck his head on a iron heater and passed out only too be discovered hrs by wayne shorter. Morgan is not pictured in the album because he had a head bandage on at the time of the recording. His phemonal playing on this album you would never be able too tell any difference!

  • wonderful

  • Elvin fucking Jones....

  • so if coltrane assembles a rhythm section the public associates with his personal sound, wayne shorter can come along and BORROW it, huh? lol i'm kidding. if jimmy garrison had been there it would've been even more hilarious! i totally appreciate how they happily recorded together, though. (commenting on shorter as a composer can take too much space)

  • Lord have mercy, that 12/8 lope, MMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!! Lee and Wayne play off each other so well, and having Trane's almost rhythm section, just lovely...
