NASA's Dawn spacecraft doesn't do things like other missions. In July it slipped into orbit around asteroid Vesta using a smooth move that made mission planners want to get up and dance.

Go Dawn GO... Just hope we get the real "stuff". But no offense Supercat9 but if you expect to fly to space using the "whell" (car, airplanes turbines boats etc..) you are looking to the picture on the wrong prespective. And the truth has been outhere for years. Did egyptian used the wheel to transport the stones etc? We live in a electricomagnetic field. What is it, DOESNT MATTER. Just lets explore and "amplify" our experience here... AND DONT reflect the wars we have in your planet! Evolve..

because it's REALLY hard to do. many things the space industry is doing are in preparation for that. considering we only figured out how to fly about 100 years ago. i'd say we are doing pretty good.
besides, some political environments are downright hostile towards science.
