I am laughing to myself because I bought "Raspberry Beret" on the 45 vinyl and one night in the dark I called myself putting on that song but accidentally put on the B side. This song played and I never played Raspberry Beret again.

After that time I would buy the 45 of a popular song and put on the B side to see what gem Prince left there. This cut is my favorite of all the B sides of his releases on vinyl. :D

@signorcafe not true a.k.a. BS! Prince simply became SHITE doing crappy albums sub standard stuff that he could do in his sleep, and people wised up to it. Even with the promotion Madonna or Lady Ga Ga gets these days, he could never shift as many units as they do - simply as he is releasing crap. Even die hard fans would agree his best albums were his early several. Nowdays just tired old lame funk crap, very uncreative & unoriginal - he lost 'it' or his 'mojo' big time!

@CloudsBeyond remember the kjd who got the first new bike on the vlock, he was admired by everyone and hated ny the rest. then everyone started to get a bike and pretty soon that kid was not that special anymore. If you know what prince went through with warner bros blacklisting him for quite a few years, you would understand that so many artist have taken what he has done and saturated the industry with a peverse replication

To the person that said prince was insignificant, that his current stuff isn't good. Well they obviously don't know the definition of significant. Although his current stuff is too artistic for some these days, does not take away from princes huge SIGNIFICANCE in his time to the music industry....especially to this genre of music. He was a innovator for this genre and an catalyst for other artists to express themselves in unconventional ways.
