I've read the book. It's called "Murphy's Boy." The therapy sessions are a lot more complicated than what's in this film.

It's only part 2 and i'm already sick of reading comments by wannabe psychiatrists. They may have gotten some things off in this movie- but it's based on the experiences and experimental techniques of Torey Hayden, who was incredible at her job and helped hundreds of kids talk after years in isolation and silence by using bizarre exercises and unconventional approaches that no psychiatrist thought would work. Turns out none of them could help the kids and she did. So shut your faces and watch.

calm him down don't just call somebody and if he don't calm down than call somebody give him a chance it's his frist noise like he not use to it

God that woman is f***ing useless! Piece of S***! The kid's traumatized. He makes a noise after years and flips out. So you get him restrained?! Real smart b****.

@TheAnnoyingThing1915 If you look at him lying on the mat in seclusion, it appears that they did bathe him and put on clean underwear. And as far as meds go, when you're in a facility like that, if you act out, you are given drugs to make you more pliable and docile. If you're shown to be psychotic, you're usually injected with 5-12 mcg of Haldol (a powerful anti-psychotic/sedative).

lmaoooo @ 'vhut do you want? a leather bound biography?' hahahah i dunno why i found that so funny. btw, that jennifer bitch is annoying.
How does flipping out when he flips out because he made a sound, make him feel safe enough to talk?
Just give him some space and he'll calm down soon enough. Reassure him that everything is ok. Then if he's still really upset, let him go back to his room or wherever he feels safe.
Don't freak out and have a bunch of guys tackle him. =_=
