McChrystal called to DC to explain Rolling Stone

The top U.S. commander in Afghanistan has been called back to Washington to explain controversial comments he and his aides made for a Rolling Stone magazine article. In the article, the general and his subordinates mock several officials in the Obama administration, including the Vice President and the National Security Adviser. The apology comes just before a US Congress gathering to discuss the budget report from Afghanistan.

If you really think that the economy was all fine and dandy before 2006 and then crashed in 2008 because the Democrats rule the house for 2 years, you are dumber than a sack of rocks. Any economical even takes a LONG time to swing one way or the other. The dot com crash of 2001 was not Bush's or the GOP controlled congress' fault. It was due to over capitalization of the tech sector.

One is the budget, which is what you use to measure the size of government. One is national debt, which is what you use to measure how much under water we are right now. Two things. Bush, with his GOP controlled congress, increase the budget every year. The part that can't be covered by tax goes to national debt. That is why the budge increased by 1 Trillion over 6 years, the national debt increased by 4.35 Trillion over 8 years.

So far, Bush is still the bigger spender!

Let's not confuse ourselves here. Clinton inherited a national debt of 4,064,620,655,521.66 when he went into office. Bush inherited a national debt of 5,674,178,209,886.86 when he got to the White House. That is 1.6 Trillion or 25% increase over 8 years. Obama inherited a national debt of 10,024,724,896,912.49. That is 4.35 Trillion or 77% increase over 8 years. During his first year, the debt gone up to 11,909,829,003,511.75. That is 1.9 Trillion. Nowhere near 4.35 Trillion
