Golden Earrings Solo Acoustic Guitar Arr by The Great Johnny Smith

I debated with myself for along time trying to decide if I should upload this. This is an arrangement by the great Johnny Smith. Please don't expect this to sound anywhere near as good as Johnny plays it. I have a few clams in this recording. I have no talent for recording or fixing mistakes. This is what came out and was my only take.

Golden Earrings is a 1947 romantic spy film made by Paramount Pictures and starring Ray Milland and Marlene Dietrich. It was directed by Mitchell Leisen and produced by Harry Tugend from a screenplay by Frank Butler, Helen Deutsch and Abraham Polonsky, based on a novel by Jolán Földes. The music score was by Victor Young and the cinematography by Daniel L. Fapp.

The film's haunting song, "Golden Earrings", sung in the movie by Murvyn Vye, was a hit recording in 1947-48 by Peggy Lee.

I am amazed,. You have captured the spirit of that fantastic old recording. Beautiful tone (Johnny's original sounded like a parlour sized guitar0 with a much thinner sound. Fantastic job!

Thank you. I recorded this without amplification. I think Johnny's was recorded without an amp as well. It sounded that way to me.
