Actually, Tom is listening to a off-beat Latin beat while counting how many lights he sees, as he's playing.
-
0:45 The perfect spot to hit on the ride bell.
-
... anybody a idea how i can get that bass sound ? xD
-
@GoliathMusic1 I agree, their music is very difficult, and technical, but it is actually quite simplistic musically.
-
@Moossyb sorry if I'm wrong ... but the fact is that I think they are better than the bassist meshugaah
-
@GoliathMusic1 Yep, everything is based on a foundation of 4/4, Thomas mentioned that this is a key part of the audience moshing in synchronicity \m/
-
Still impressive, yes.
-
Meshuggah were innovative, but not complex. Polyrhythms over 4/4 are not complex. Technicality is not complexity. I love meshuggah, they were brilliant, but anyone who thinks that this is complex is probably not actually registering what they're doing.

@7is7a I hope you refer to John Campbell and Victor Wooten. So tell me, if you're such a fan of these bassists... how does it come that you can't spell their names right?
Look, Tomas is listening to his ipod thats playing other songs and still drumming !
