Eddie Redmayne is the only actor who has played Angel on screen and made him remotely forgivable (at the end) Peter Firth and Oliver Milburn's Angels were as self-satisfied and despicable as the one in the novel. Well done Mr Redmayne

I use to think Gemma Arterson was a better actress than Justice Waddell.

Correct, In the book it is Mrs Crick's orders that Angel is too genteel to mess at the table with the others, his meals were taken in the yawning chimney-corner.

because the farmers wife thinks he should sit away from them because he is a gentlemen and they are a lower class to him, or something like that.
