@thedzadze you must download the compiz extra plugins package from synaptic, then in animations you can enable it as open, close, or minimize animation, efore doing that next to animations in the ccsm will appear a plane names animation plugin, you must check it, there you can edit the animations from the extra plugins (colors, particles etc. )
soorry for the delayed answer

very nice man! I just recently tried out ubuntu and i was wondering:
Does it take much resources from the cpu and gpu to have those effects or are they very "light"?
Winner2611 1 year ago
@Winner2611 well, for just some simple effects you really don't need a great video card, to enable those go to System >> Preferences >> Appearance or just right click on your desktop and choose Change Desktop Backround and on the Visual Effects Tab choose Normal. BUT, for the compiz fusion effect SPECIALLY the most heavy ones. 3D cube, fire minimizing etc. you will need ( I recommend ) at least a 512 mb video card to be sure you'll have a good result.

@carlosmavros Well I have the nvidia 9600m GT with 1 GB of vram but i dont want those effects using up so much power already if you know what i mean. If i put the appearances on "Extra" will it look great and be lighter that what you are using?

@Winner2611 If you choose extra and have the compiz effects install this will enable them, so if you want just some effects to make it look better just enable some very simple effects on the compiz config settings manager

@TheTiktok999 no LOL I had an alienware backround and then changed it and when I changed the 3D cube walls I forgot to restart the pc so I made the video with the walls I had when I used the alienware backround!
