Watch at http://www.shapeways.com/model/139101/oh_cube.html. Copyright (c) 2010, M. Oskar van Deventer. Oh Cube is a twisty puzzle, similar to Rubik's Cube. However, it turns in some strange way, turning around corners and pieces sliding under and over each other.

This puzzle was 3D-printed using nylon-powder SLS technology, which explains its price. It is the very first prototype, costing its designer and maker a lot of money to create. Please do not confuse it for a cheap mass-produced puzzle.

  • more people ripping off the rubix cube :L

  • @T0MW0ZZER This is an original puzzle design, of course inspired by the Rubik's Cube. Rubik spent half an hour at my table playing my puzzles, when we met at a gathering a few years ago.

  • Wait.... its not that YOUR making the cube with 3d printing... its that SHAPEWAYS is making the cube by 3d printing... if you were making it by hand without the 3d printing then would it be cheaper?

  • @DARKcpu0 No. I charge much more per hour than Shapeways' machine. Moreover, I would need many more hours ...

  • Nederland : ik wil wel zoon ding kun je hem regelen

  • @Rickboy1999 Please contact me privately, if you want an assembles and stickered sample of this puzzle. The cheapest option is to follow the link in the description and by the DIY kit from Shapeways.

  • @T0MW0ZZER Rubik's*

    Possessive of Rubik, the inventor.

  • Hey Oskar do you think you could get Mefferts.com to mass produce this cube? I saw that you got Meffert's to mass produce your amazing gear cube, but I would really like to get this one too, but I don't have the money to get it on the shapeways site

  • Ik snap nu pas dat je Oskar van Deventer heet! Ik dacht namelijk dat je bedoelde te zeggen dat je Oskar was en uit Deventer kwam :p

  • @OskarPuzzle is there an Oh Mixup Cube?

  • One thing that I've been thinking about for quite a while it the whole concept of fixed centers, since there is none. If anybody figures anything out please let me know :c

  • @Xanoptic0n Sorry :) Just an opinion I got from watching him try and turn a corner, thats scraping noise it made and my experiences from cheap rubic cubes.

  • @TheRealbard56 Seems to turn fine to me, making a noise doesn't mean it's poor quality, gears/mechanisms make noise!

"that's the sound of poor quality" stating it like a fact?....... -_-
