The U.S. Army Combat Uniform's (ACU) ACUPAT camouflage pattern doesn't work in dry desert regions and is contributing to our men being targeted by the enemy and being killed and maimed.

LineDoggie writes:

"ACU pattern sucks balls anyway. When the first Brigade (48th)wearing them showed up in Baghdad, we could spot them dismounted at Approx. 800M further away than those wearing DCU's."

Soldiers and units can and should fix this problem immediately by buying their own Multi-Cam camouflage pattern ACUs and the necessary velcro patches for their tours in Iraq/Afghanistan:

Multi-Cam Works:

PROFESSIONALS buy their own gear if needed to do their PROFESSION well; its time EVERY U.S. Army Soldier become and start acting like a PRO regardless of what the bureaucracy "seems" to want.

What are they going to do? Send you to Iraq?

Time to start acting like the U.S. Army belongs to the Soldiers in it and the American people; BECAUSE IT DOES---not the little ego club of 3-star generals who racketeer the Army's actions for their own personal benefit and the nation's national security ruin.

P.S.: we didn't mention the USMC in this description because its thoroughly permeated by malignant narcissism on top of being an immoral and incompetent bureaucracy--and should be abolished at once. Google "Growler", V-22", "EFV", "MRAP", Haditha" if you need some on-going reminders of USMC evil.

The U.S. Army FCS Program (bureaucracy) uses Multi-Cam--so the brass know it works and want to implement it, why wait?

I am NOT going to call crap ACUPAT pattern "universal" camo nor am I going to call land mines "IEwhatevers" to LIE about what they are and are not. Land mines are killing our Soldiers because light infantry narcissists don't give a crap about the profession of arms to value COMBAT ENGINEERING and are hypocrites when it comes to camouflage if they buy into ACUPAT.

  • Actually if you wear the same set of ACUs outside of the wire everyday, they'll fade to a nice color that blends in pretty well with rural areas. I was in Sadr al Yusefiah which is right along the Euphrates. There was a good mix of arid, open areas, as well as vegetation. The ACU performs pretty well there if it's sun bleached. Or you just throw a little bleach into a bucket of water & wring some of the color out. Multicam for the win though.

  • @hazonku Good Field Expedient (Fx) to salvage some utility from ACUPAT ACUs!

  • I've been looking around on a couple different sites and I can't find the uniforms that use the velcro patches used in this video. Where do I have to go to get the uniforms with a place for name, rank, and organization patches?

  • Demanding a new uniform, or getting "mad" won't help in this situation. I've been mad about ACU's since I put 'em on the first time. I've voiced my issues with them to everybody that listens. Guess what, the Army is still wearing ACUs. Those decesions are made well above my pay grade.

  • Multicam actually out peformed ACU and was the 3nd best idea of CAMO , replacement , this is actually that camo that the army wanted but rejected because of the price , and it wasn't digtalized either. but sooner or later this will be the Army , standard camo from what i keep hearing from Spec ops guys , and Army future forces warriors conjection , and is already being used in Afghanistan.

so figure out yourself Multicam well pretty much Out performe any camo in multi - envoriments.

  • @LucasWitt15 LOOKS don't count as much as FUNCTION. If you are DEAD because your ACUPAT camouflage failed to protect you, it's moot point isn't it?

  • @rshandty They do if the soldier is going to afganastan. There are still people in the army manly generals who want to keep the digital patterns they are testing multicam aginst different digital patterns idk why they don't just throw the digital shot away

  • sorry military but the militia is gonna use multicam.

  • fuck the acu and the multicam the BDU are better

  • @06xb9r You will for sure Australia recently got the rights to develop our own, so we could see a coalition wearing multicam in different patterns/variations.

  • @Ciyphr

we in the british military are using Multi terrain pattern (our name for multi-cam) and it works wonders. at first glance you think 'how the fuck can that blend into a desert? because it looks more woodland' but it strangely blends in with all enviroments in afghan. and you said its too expensive? well if the british military bought it then it's cheap lol

  • @blackHawkMW92 multicam will work perfectly in the fall. Jungle is perfect for woodland marpat.

  • If war ever breaks out in the statue of liberty...ACUs time to shine!

  • We switched in Afghanistan! One step closer. I'm JROTC and even I realize digi sucks.
