@realcatholicTV i dont know where you get the idea that the USCCB doesnt have ecclesial authority when in fact all its members are Bishops who are the leaders of the Catholic Church of their own diocese and thus of the Roman Catholic Church of the United States

I get this idea from Cdl. Raztinger (now the pope) who said the USCCB has no ecclesial standing or authority as an entity.

You will note we say NOTHING about individual bishops (who DO have authority). The USCCB does not. If the USCCB says something, a Catholic can ignore it unless his bishop repeats it and enforces it.

You are making the mistake (which is the mistake the USCCB wants you to make) of thinking that because all the bishops are members of the USCCB the USCCB has authority over all their dioceses. It does not - individual bishops do. The USCCB's decrees are only binding in so far as individual bishops put them into practice.

True Catholic?!?! I think this is a false-flag operation being conducted by the Southern Baptist Convention. You're attacks on the Bishops are an attack on the Church herself.

These are not attacks on the bishops, they are statements of FACT about the USCCB - which is an organization with NO ecclesial standing or authority.

And I think someone making comments on other videos about how hot Britney Spears looks (lust) should perhaps be careful about speaking in dismissive terms about someone else's Christianity/

@bluealtec The groups activities and statements do not have ecclesial authority(meaning"as if it came from the Holy See" )These are "group" recommendations or opinions-They do NOT have to be adhered to. Each individual bishop has his authority but that particular group of bishops has no ecclesial authority nor does it want any...

Well done RCTV. In many ways the priest sexual abuse scandal should have been called the bishops scandal. And now we have another bishops scandal. Where are those who stand for Christ and His Church?
