okay so your basically a fuckin pro at dvx uprezing. Ive done it many times and it turns out good. I assume you always film in 16:9 as do I, but when I do uprez my footage the bars still remain. How do you have a full uprezzed picture without the bars? This would be pretty helpful....

I dont uprez. This is straight 720x480 SD anamorphic footage.
But what you need to do to get rid of letterboxing is shoot in 16:9 squeeze mode, and import/edit/export your footage as 720x480 16:9 anamorphic DV-NTSC files. If for some reason you have issues with the aspect ratio, you can set the video dimensions to 800x450 and since 800x450 is a fraction of 1600x900, its your SD version dimensions of 16:9
Good luck. I know its confusing :)

Chris just showed me this video. Really really good stuff man. I loved your color grading and shots. What steadicam did you use? Were you always wide open at f/2.8 when you were shooting this or you changed it around a bit? Otherwise, awesome work, keep it up!

Thanks,
The steadicam was a Glidecam 2000 Pro with arm brace, but the thing was broken when I found it. I had to re-build the gimbal and counter weight plate.
All the shots inside, like at 00:36, were shot at f2.8, but everything outside was around f5.6 to f8. I need to test this out with other my lenses and utilize some nice shallow DOF, those are my favorite steadicam shots.

As for color, I just did some minor touch ups with final cut's RGB sliders and bumped up the red and greens in the highlights, and pulled them down in the shadows. While I did the opposit with the blue. Its more complicated than that, but thats the just of it. It really pops out the warms, while tinting blacks into blue, and overall making a slightly faded picture, I like it.
thanks again.
