Platycryptus Undatus. This little girl has become one of favorites in the spider world. She is so curious and seems to enjoy being around me or maybe I should say on me. It wasn't too long ago that I would have killed her if she jumped on me, but my fear of spiders being on me has diminished greatly. I still wouldn't want a funnel web, black widow, or any other highly venomous spider on me, but I can deal with others, especially the jumpers.

  • nice camera, oh the spider's cool too xD

  • @linux750 Not at all, I too think Jumping spiders are cute. :3

  • @Torn80cj Yeah! I just love how cute it is

  • @FradisAlexPro I think the jumpers pass as cute also, that's why I have several videos titled with word "Cute" in them on several of my jumping spider videos. I have some where I get some really close macros on their faces. A lot of people love my "Phidippus Putnami Jumping Spider Being Cute" video because of how the spider looks.

  • @Torn80cj I'll look them up. I might know a place in Downtown that sells all kinds of spiders. Another thing is that when I look at the spider in the middle of the video, I just say it's cute. Because some people think of spiders as ugly creatures. I think of them as amazing creatures. They look very coute if you close up on them.

  • @FradisAlexPro I guess you would have to find some place that is away from the city, but then again, I have found some in my apartment. They usually show up in the Spring and the Fall. They love to hide under dead tree bark in the wild, usually hardwood trees. You may want to google up "California Jumping Spiders", maybe it will bring something up to let you know what kind of jumpers you have around your area and where they can be found.

  • @Torn80cj That's interesting! Where do you find jumping spiders? I've never seen one here in Los Angeles.

  • @FradisAlexPro Some spiders you may not want to pick up until you gain some experience. Best way to pick up a spider is let it voluntarily crawl up on your hand. I started with jumpers then went to other spiders later. Jumpers are really easy to handle. I just let the spider crawl up onto my hand or jump on it. If the spider starts crawling up my arm, I just place my other hand in front of him to let him crawl up on that one and repeat the cycle, kind of like a treadmill effect.
