love this song....
Paintings by LYONEL FEININGER

Just testing my new recording equipment.
raw take, no filters or so applied.
eww, Neil often sings in such a high pitch, that it gets me to my very limits.
hope you'll enjoy it though... "you can free me all in the way that you smile..." ;)

guitar: my unfinished Simon&Patrick Woodland Cedar
recorder: Zoom H2

  • Oh man I have listened to this CD **countless times, lol and it is a marvelous treat to hear your version. Always your guitar playing has a confident stride and bounciness to carry your voice higher. My only complaint is that I could listen longer of course.

  • @marywinmusic aww what is better than to please my adored Westcoast singer-songwriter?? I think I should be grateful for the air moisture that day which allowed me to squeeze out the highest notes! still thinking about the line "old enough to repay but young enough to sell"... it's thrilling to meet your N.Y. vein! :)

  • I have always liked this song, it is deceptively simple yet difficult to perform. Nice job!

  • @dickidoo123 thanks heaps James! I definitely second what you say! I tried to sing it tuned down to D but anyhow it's not the same! (and I'm always too fast in my tuberculosis style, lol!)

  • I like when you take tests....lovely Bear!

  • @reliablebow I guess I'll never overcome it but I love you listening and commenting! ;))

  • @frozenwhitebear Nope, no snow at all....strange winter.

  • @nllleonard not just exactly. some of his paintings have a place in local museums, but others spreaded around the world, I think in the U.S. too (born and passed in N.Y.)! he was a Bauhaus teacher for a while, and friend of Paul Klee. wrote some (classic) violin pieces too (close to the style of Bach).

  • @coolanddark thanks so much Dan! glad you liked it that much! Neil is a challenge anyway, so great songs he made... all my best always and a beautiful Xmas time!

  • @wild0goose thankyou Ann, so nice you come buy! well, I definitely will! ;)

  • @oldnrone thanks heaps Guy!!! guess you will have tons of snow up there?? :)
