Brits want Burka Ban

2,000 members of the public across the UK were asked if they would support a ban on the Burka..

67% agreed that it should be banned. That rose to 80% among people aged 55 and over.

People in the North of England and Wales were also more likely to agree to a ban then anywhere else in the country.

@Standuble You are right to demonstrate your concern, but there are the same numer of intolerant muslims as any other faith. It is only Islamic intolerance that is widely shown in western media. Christianity has history of wars against Islam, as well as it's holy war in africa against 'alleged witches' and homosexuals. Oriental religions are also responsible for religious hatred, but it is probably unknown completely to our media. like i said, it's always very few individuals who bend religion.

My frustration with Islam is its apparent assertiveness, from evangelicalism to outright violence against non-believers. They revere a run-of-the mill ancient despotic warlord and many seem to believe they should have special entitlement than others? The two most intolerant cities in the world (Mecca and Medina) belong solely to Islam. The world can't move forward with it left to grow

Attacking faith is rather silly and ridiculous. I generally assume that most people who have a go at religion are usually aethiests? So like I often say you can divide people into many groups be it race, religion, age whatever there are always the same number of good eggs and bad eggs. We all shit out the same hole.

No major faith is supposed to be bad in principle. But there are always a small number of psychos who bend these principles to suit their own selfish, evil agenda.
