Nothing's worse than bland, tasteless, refried beans with your burrito, enchilada, or taco. You'll love this recipe for great refried beans. Bonus! My favorite breakfast taco at the end.

  • Your recipe is wonderful, and I appreciate you posting it! My Mom and I are really excited to try it! Thanks so much!

  • @niknicgb Leave out the salt or bouillon cubes until AFTER they've been in the slow cooker all night.

  • I don't mind the criticism but let's keep the language clean.

  • When you say overnight..how many hours do you mean...?

  • @20krysNash11 7 to 8 hours. I've left them in for ten, just make sure they have plenty of water.

  • @yiminnybuck and on high the whole night?

  • @20krysNash11 No, only have them on high before you go to bed. Then turn down the heat to very low. My slow cooker has hours instead of temperature, sorry.

  • I'm Jamaican, but i'll tell you why. This guy is actually wrong.(but has a sweet daughter) You ever "looked" at refried beans and they look like a big plate of mush? its becouse they were traditionally cooked in its juices, like this guy.The sauce then dried out which left the beans. The beans were thrown in a pot with a little hot grease and mashed with spices to make refried beans! That's how they are really made.

  • the little girl with the cute little hat just warms my heart... so cute..............

  • Yummy!!!!!

  • is that your own personal recipe? using the mixer and the slow cooker is a great idea. i'm definately going to try this method. thank you!

  • These aren't refried beans. But at least you left the liquid in there. My "white" friend lets all the water evaporate and then uses a drink mixer to mash them up. Very thick. Yuck. That's why I made a video, so that she could see how it's done.

PS: It should be called "fried" beans everywhere, because how many times do you actually fry them? Once. :)

  • When I worked at a resturaunt Taso's they tried adding oil to canned beans and cooking them in a big pot. I wasnt a big fan and I am not used to mexican food. Needless to say they were gone in 6 months time for a new job lol..

  • Your daughter is adorable! Recipe seems decent. Thank you!
