    Er, I don't think you know yourself. Anime is the Japanese word for animation. Japanese people consider any cartoon anime cause that's their word for it. Hell, Tom & Jerry is in the top hundred in Japanese anime list. Japanese style animation or Japanimation is what Westerners call anime. If you ask a Japanese person they would probably call Jem anime because its animated. Only Westerners give Japanese animation the label of anime.
